Richard Ashcroft in Dublin: “somebody get the fire extinguishers bc I’m about to play the greatest song ever written” then chugs a pint of Guinness on stage and plays Bittersweet Symphony. Fucking LEGEND
maybe third greatest?? that Cure album really blew me away. them and Suede feel like they’re not trying desperately to recapture their youth but they’re reflecting on how far they’ve come. i even listened to the goddam new Van Morrison maybe this is a personal problem
I'm all for Nirvana fan fiction, but wish it wasn't a straight breed/dive rip in the beginning. Gallagher's gonna Gallagher tho, curious of the rest. also was at Wembley 7/30, prob best night of my life </3
unfortunately i already have enough of a problem with the notion of "bringing rock back" in 2025 that i simply can't stomach the idea of this notion being realized in the cinematic-universification of rock's future! i have no problem doing that retroactively with its past but I would like to continue to be surprised by new (and maybe ESPECIALLY by pop!) music, thank you so much!!!
Going from Richard Ashcroft to Cage the Elephant is neither biblical nor celestial
Amen brother

crying it’s so perfect
Yasi is it time to revisit your theory that bands run out of steam later in life??
I still don't think anyone is making their greatest or even second greatest work later in life but I am open to being disproven!!!
Lucinda Williams? Good in the early 1980s, but beyond great by the late 1990s to mid 00s...and beyond

i regret to report that this post has made me anglophobic
open your heart to Villanelle babe
I presume they're named after the Killing Eve assassin, played by Jodie Comer in the tv series of the same name?

I was not at Wembley and was at The Rose Bowl and it was definitely maybe the greatest night of my life!

Any plans to catch Cameron Winter in early Dec? He’s playing a UK show I think.
Yasi- have you seen the Liam Gallagher -As It Was doc? Better than Supersonic imo. Highly recommend.
