All the new music I loved in July

new and/or new to me

Happy Thursday everyone. I’m wearing my favorite Jesus and Mary Chain t-shirt as I plan a trip to Edinburgh (and maybe Glasgow? and perhaps a few days in London?) during the back half of next month. I’ll be in Edinburgh at least for a few days (to see The Cure!) and it’s during Fringe I believe, so if you want to invite me to anything, or tell me where to shop or eat, or you happen to run a luxury hotel and have kind eyes and a generous spirit, I am all ears. We are gathered here today because I threw together a batch of recent music I think you guys might like. Most of the songs on this playlist came out in July, but there are a handful of tunes from May and June that I simply missed because [Hoobastank voice] etc. I would say 80% are newer bands, at least 50% artists I’ve never heard of, and at least 100% are good.
